Donate

Firstly, it is important for us to thank everyone who supports the Foodbank in assisting members of our community – without your aid we couldn’t provide the help that we do to those most in need.

Any donation is always welcome. However, if you’re unsure on the best way to help, then monetary donations are always more useful than physical ones. Not only does it allow us to buy fresh produce for our clients, it allows us to be flexible and respond to the particular needs of individuals, for example those with young babies or food allergies. In addition to these reasons, monetary donations also contribute towards our other essential costs, such as paying for the employed co-ordinator, ground rent, and insurances to name but a few.

With the average food parcel in 2024 costing around £50, the cost of food parcels alone last year exceeded £50,000. If you add the additional costs of operating the foodbank, such as salary, rent etc then this figure increases to nearly £80,000!
