Food Parcels

Should anyone need a food parcel, or perhaps know of someone else who does, then referrals can be obtained through agencies such as Doctors, Schools, Citizen’s Advice and CHAT, as well as a host of others. Alternatively, contact the coordinator direct by phone, text or email using the details above.

Our Food Bank parcels have been created to provide a household with enough food for 5 days’ worth of meals, adjusting the amounts for the number of children and adults within the home.

We can also adapt the food parcel according to the cooking facilities that you have available – we are aware that some people don’t have a hob and need food that can be microwaved or made up using a kettle. Please do discuss your particular requirements with us so that we can provide you with the items that you need.

We will attempt to address any specific dietary needs you may have e.g. vegetarian, gluten free etc, however, we do ask that you take responsibility for checking all products we send to you to ensure they are safe for you to consume.

A typical food parcel for one person contains:

  • Bread
  • Cereal or Oats
  • Milk
  • Tea or Cofee
  • Squash or Fruit Juice
  • Sugar
  • Jam (or equivalent)
  • Spread
  • Cheese
  • Fresh Meat (Chicken, Mince or Sausages)
  • Fresh Vegetables (or tinned if you prefer)
  • Fresh Fruit
  • Pasta or Rice
  • Pasta Sauce
  • Tinned Fish, such as Tuna or Salmon
  • Tinned Meats, such as Corned Beef or Meat Pie
  • Tinned Soups
  • Tinned Baked Beans or Spaghetti
  • Tinned Tomatoes
  • Tinned Fruit
  • Rice Pudding or Custard
  • Biscuits, Crisps and a Chocolate Bar
  • Toilet Roll

We can also supply small quantities of cat and dog food, cleaning products, toiletries and baby products such as nappies, but these are on request.

Please note that contents may vary depending upon the stock we hold and the donations we receive.
