Crediton Foodbank and Support Hub is looking for new trustees to join our Board and help shape the future of our community charity.
Every week, we provide emergency food parcels and essential items to people across the Crediton area who are struggling to make ends meet. Entirely community-funded and volunteer run, we rely on local support – from donations to hands-on help – to keep our work going.
Our Trustees play a vital role in making sure the Foodbank continues to meet local need in a responsible, sustainable way. They oversee strategy and governance, make key decisions about how the charity operates, and support our amazing volunteer team.
Who we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from people who are passionate about helping others and who care about the community we serve. Experience in areas such as charity management, finance, governance, or communications would be particularly helpful, but it’s not essential. What matters most is enthusiasm, integrity, and a desire to make a difference.
If you’ve ever served on a board or managed an organisation before, that’s a bonus, but if not, don’t worry. We’ll provide guidance and support so you can get the most out of the role.
Why become a Trustee?
Becoming a Trustee is an opportunity to use your skills and experience for good. It’s also a chance to learn new things, meet like-minded people, and play an active part in tackling food poverty in our area.
As one of our current trustees puts it:
“It’s incredibly rewarding to see the impact our Foodbank has, from helping a family through a difficult time to seeing our community pull together to support one another. Being part of that is really special.”
Looking ahead
With demand for our services continuing to grow, we’re planning for the future by strengthening partnerships, developing new ways to reach people in crisis, and ensuring the Foodbank remains sustainable for years to come. Our Trustees will play a key part in shaping that journey.
